More model informationRoman scissors. L 22 cm; iron.
Scissors were simple but effective tools that were already used in ancient times. In contrast to modern scissors with two crossed blades, Roman scissors consisted of a single piece of iron bent into a U-shape. The two cutting edges were at the ends. In order to cut something, you had to press the ends together; once released, the scissors opened again by themselves.
