The forefield of Scott Turnerbreen in Bolterdalen, 22 July 2018
Scott Turnerbreen has retreated by about 1.9 km since the 1960s. A major preceding glacier surge kept the glacier advancing until the mid 1900s. The glacier has been described to surge itself to death, as very little ice has been accumulated since. Thus, the current fast retreat will continue, and the already large exposed glacial forefield will expand.

The model was made from 643 vertical and 105 oblique drone images. The texture has been enhanced with a slope map to increase the contrast, but black artefacts can be seen from this in certain parts.
