SculptJanuary 2018 - 09 Tool -- neolithic sickle 3D Model
This reconstruction shows the basic construction of an neolithic flint sickle.
These composite tools emerge on the dawn of agriculture and were used to cut weed, grain and flax as well as to bundle the crops.
The flint shards inside the wodden shaft are glued in position by applieing a layer of bir tar. Other the time the sickle is used the acids in the grain polish the sickle and give an characteristic shine.
The model itself was sculpted for ScluptJanuary 2018 day 9 as an tool.
