Sd.Kfz. 251 half-track World War II armored car

Sd.Kfz. 251 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 251) half-track was a World War II German armored personnel carrier designed by the Hanomag company, based on its earlier, unarmored Sd.Kfz. 11 vehicle. The Sd.Kfz. 251 was designed to transport the Panzergrenadier (German mechanized infantry) into battle.

This particular model is on display at the museum of the Slovak National Uprising in Banska Bystrica. The museum features several open air exhibitions of military equipment and is designed to commemorate the uprisiing against German forces in August of 1944.
