Skinny and thin portions of objects always cause problems. I wanted to do some practice scans on a realtively thin object to see what approach gave the best result. Thus the sea shell was chosen!
I was actually anticipating this scan failing to interpret the width of the shell correctly, as I was just following my standard setup of 10 degree increments.
I was planning to do an additional scan with smaller increments to see if it yielded better results. but… Since this worked as is, I didn’t actually try the smaller increments. I guess I’ll wait until I find a thinner object.
