The long-awaited Bandra-Worli sea link, seen as an engineering marvel, weighs equivalent to that of 50,000 African elephants.
The length of the bridge is 63 times the height of the Qutub Minar. T he bridge’s height is 126 meter. It’s width is 66 ft. Bandra-Worli Sea Link’s largest pylon towers are 128 meter in height.
It took 10 years to complete originally it was estimated to be complete in 5 years.
Seshadri Srinivas is the one who finalize the design for the architectural marvel, a savior for Mumbaikars. Beside This sea link, he has also designed Mumbai’s JJ flyover and the Jamarat Bridge in Mecca. Yet, it took him three attempts to finalize the design of sea sea route.
Construction of the sea link was not only worked on by aced groups from India, but groups from 11 other countries including Egypt, China, Canada, Switzerland, Britain, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia and Serbia.
