More model informationOne of three seamines, dating to the Second World War, that are sometimes visible on the beach at Caerfai in Pembrokeshire.
The three mines are Type-17 deepwater mines and were washed ashore after the war, then defused to make them safe. They were then left on the beach and became buried in the sand.
This seamine was recorded on the 5th January 2022. All three have been entered as a group into the National Monuments Record of Wales: NPRN704002. https://coflein.gov.uk/en/site/704002/
