More model information“Genesis does what Nintendon’t! Sega Genesis has Blast Processing. Super Nintendo doesn’t”. This was the slogan of the fiercest battle in videogame history. Sega advertised its Mega Drive platform as being superior to Nintendo’s due to a slight processor speed advantage. Though it sounds kind of ridiculous today, Sega of America made genius moves to make the Genesis seem far better than the Nintendo systems, resorting to mostly in-your-face TV commercials that steered teenagers away from the Mario company in favor of Sonic’s.
