To work on the expressive modelling of the human figure, we have used the busts made by Franz Xaver Messerschmidt as a starting point. Each student had to imagine the body and body gesture corresponding to the assigned bust. Sergio Teran VIllarroel has worked on the bust “Der erboßte und rachgierige Zigeuner. “Charakterkopf” Nr. 20” in the Belvedere Museum in Vienna. He has clearly seen his character as a soldier suffered from “Trench sickness” or “Shell Shock”. The piece is 50cm high.
