More model informationThis serpentinte sample is from the New England Orogen in New South Wales. While individual minerals are too fine to be seen, they would be a combination of the serpentine minerals lizardite, antigorite and chrysotile. Serpentinite occurs along major fault systems in the New England Orogen and is derived by hydrothermal alteration of mantle peridotite.
