More model informationThis cut block of serpenitite comes from the Peel-Manning Fault System in the Southern New England Orogen (SNEO) in New South Wales, Australia. This fault zone separates the forearc basin of the SNEO from the accretion-subduction complex. The darker patches of the specimen are probably orthopyroxene pseudomorphed by bastite, making the original rock a harzburgite. There are also some thin talc-carbonate veins present (white).
