Sheet piling using Pitch & Pull and Drivesafe

This model details a Trench Sheet being installed with an excavator while using MGF’s Pitch & Pull Pitching Shackle and Drivesafe, a quick hitch attachment that is an alternative to using Driving Caps. These products can be installed on the excavator at the same time and drastically speeds up sheet installs, while improving operative safety.

The Pitch & Pull is installed onto a trench sheet while laid on a stack at ground level, it is then lifted vertically and moved to where it is to be installed. The excavator can then carefully rotate the shackle so the Drivesafe can evenly bear onto the top of the sheet and push it into the ground in a controlled manner. The guide plates on Drivesafe provide the excavator driver with additional control.

The combination of these products ensures operatives do not need to be within the excavator exclusion zones while the excavator is active, while also reducing the requirement for operatives to work at height in installing/removing driving caps.
