Ship Race: City Above The Mountains

Here is my concept level design for a Ship Race. The idea behind the level is a city suspended above water in the middle of the mountains.

The model itself was drafted up and textured within a couple days, originally I had hoped to have this animated however with time running out I’m not sure I would be able to smoothly and presentably do this by the end of the competition.

The buildings design and mounting for the city was inspired by the Planets Coruscant and Kamino from the Star Wars series.

This piece was designed for the Low Poly Game Level Challenge, however I saw this as an opportunity as well to develope a small piece for my portfolio, as I am hoping to get into the Game Industry as a 3D artist.

The Model and Texture sets I do not imagine I will use outside of this competition but anyone is free to use anything found in here if they desire.
