More model informationThis partial panel preserves the scene of a wooden war machine in operation. Attackers operate a battering ram from within the safety of a siege tower and chip away at the walls of the city, creating a breach. From a tower over the ram an archer takes aim, while a comrade protects him with a shield. The city has an arched gate typical of the architecture for the period. All the humans are illustrated at a scale much larger than that of the buildings.
