The HK416 at Home: SIG516.

SIG516 is a family of AR patterned rifles designed by SIG Sauer Inc in the USA, introduced in 2010. Unlike a regular AR-15 variant, the SIG516 operates on a piston system, much like the HK416. But unlike the HK416, the SIG516 can have most of it’s parts interchangeable with other AR-15 variants. SIG Sauer made two different generations of the SIG516, and in four different barrel lengths: 16 inch (Patrol), 14.5 inch (Tactical Patrol), 10 inch (CQB), and 7.5 inch (PDW). This rifle had since been discontinued in 2019.
