More model informationA late Roman era silver ingot; probably lost in transit on its way to Gaul (395-423 AD); found near Pulborough, Sussex in 1909; presented in black lined case, including two press cuttings from the Southern Weekly News regarding lectures on its provenance (9 April 1910).
Deposited in Senate House Library in 1936; bequeathed to the University of London in 1948; now archived under the Harry Price Collection (ref. HPI/6/3/6).
