Skaill Kiln Barn, Rousay, Orkney

Kiln barn forming part of Skaill Farm, Westness, Rousay. The building appears on the 1882 Ordnance Survey map and 1840 estate plan. It is likely to date to the early to mid 19th century. The dairy was added later to the western end. The farm house has been recorded in a seperate model: https://skfb.ly/6LBN7

This model was produced as part of the Landscapes of Change: Archaeologies of the Rousay Clearances of the Westness Estate project. It was produced in tandem with a building survey by Historic Environment Scotland in April 2018.
