More model information

Skalar Shaft is an alpine karst cave whose entrance is located in the heart of the Kanin Plateau (Slovenia) at an altitude of 2328 meters. Due to the special geological conditions, there is a possibility of developing a cave system with a depth of 2000 meters, which is one of the largest depth potentials in Europe! Skalar Shaft, in combination with the Mala Boka - BC 4 cave system, would form a system with a depth of over 1900 meters. This would make it the deepest cave in Europe and the third deepest in the world. Currently the team has reached the depth of -1200 m with at least 3 promising contituations.
