More model informationMade this guy mostly with straight-up polygon modeling. Triangle count rose rather faster than I’d hoped, just because of all the discrete parts. Sill pretty high for a basic enemy, but I guess it’s fine for a modern PC game. Chest could be vastly simplified if I used a single blobby polygon for the ribcage, and baked out the ribs to to it with transparency in-between, but I’m not sure if transparent textures might not cost more than just having the extra faces.
