More model information

After a long time I’m finally done with this scene! Based on and inspired on a photo I took while in Skopelos, I really do love how the town is a little labyrinth of houses stacked on a corridor of streets. It’s probably one of the most detailed scenes I’ve made, and since I recently started using Blender more and more, I wanted to try the modelling process a little more in-depth which is why there are a lot of areas that technically could’ve been alpha planes or normal maps, but I figured it was a bit of a modelling challenge to really get into some of the details.

I started using a lot of tools in Blender, I will say that I probably still prefer UV-ing in Maya, but there are some really powerful tools in Blender for UV-packing and the alike.

Apart from that I really loved the QuickCurve tool, that was quite amazing to use for irregular shapes that would’ve been a bit of a hell to model, or get through sculpting. I used it for the wires, pipes and trees.
