Skull gravestone, Romsey Abbey (north garth)Your model is disabled. For more details go to Edit properties3D Model
The burial ground in the north garth of Romsey Abbey (Hampshire, UK) was levelled around 1948 and many of the larger flat gravestones were used to make a path to the cross memorial in the centre of the ground. This is an example of how weathered and worn the gravestones are – in particular, the text is barely visible. The memento mori skull and angel motifs indicate a possible 18th-century date.
