More model informationThe burial ground in the north garth of Romsey Abbey (Hampshire, UK) was levelled around 1948 and many of the larger flat gravestones were used to make a path to the cross memorial in the centre of the ground. This is an example of how weathered and worn the gravestones are – in particular, the text is barely visible. The memento mori skull and angel motifs indicate a possible 18th-century date.
