Skull of the Aardwolf

This model displays the skull and teeth from an Aardwolf (Proteles cristata), showing off their unusual simplified dentition. Despite their close realtion to hyenas, Aardwolves primarily eat termites and their larvae, which they capture using a sticky tongue.
