This possible cup-marked stone is located on private farmland northeast of Skyreholme in North Yorkshire, within the boundaries of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The stone features a single, ‘cup-like’ depression that does not appear to have been documented in previous surveys. While the shape of the depression is consistent with typical cup marks, a small quartz inclusion protruding from one side suggests it could have formed naturally. This could explain why previous surveys haven’t recorded it. However, its setting adds some weight to a potential artificiality, as it’s positioned within 200 metres of confirmed examples of prehistoric rock art and stretches of denuded walling.
