The Memory of a Sledgehammer, made into a 3D model.

You know those art challenges where someone has to draw a character from memory? This is like those, but w/ a sledgehammer instead of a fictional character, and 3d modelling instead of drawing!

This was part of a personal project where I would model a sledgehammer twice, once entirely from memory, & once w/ extensive use of reference images.

I thought they’d be fun to compare.

I actively avoided looking at pictures of Sledgehammers while modelling this, & as expected, the result was not too accurate.

I actually modelled this and the other sledgehammer last year, but I put off uploading the models b/c I was worried about how the thumbnails on this website would turn out, considering how the thumbnails other long, thin, vertically oriented models turned out.

If only I could I have it at a better angle for just the thumbnail.
