More model informationTrench 11 in Elfwick Field at Smallhythe during the second week of excavation in August 2023. The chalk foundations of the building recorded in this trench can be seen, with the western and southern walls of the building now exposed. The deeper slot excavated in the centre of the building confirmed that the foundations lie at over a metre deep, suggesting that the building was cellared.
