Animation originally created in june 2002 using PiXELS:3D Studio 3.7, that I just redid entirely in Blender 2.79b from scratch, starting with an identical UV sphere with the same size and segment/ring count, adding exactly the same lattice and shape keys (in order to compare and copy coordinates from my old work I managed to run again the vintage software in SheepShaver, but nothing was imported from it so it remains a genuine new #blender work). I had created the textures in Adobe Illustrator back then in 2002, including the displacement map using gradient meshes, so I simply reexported them with higher resolution.
To get correct results in Sketchfab I had to apply the modifiers (lattice + subsurf) and set the key shapes to absolute instead of relative. The keyframes have quadratic interpolation with easing out, I also had to set the start frame to 0 instead of 1 to get exactly 180 frames / 6 seconds.
