The object captured is a shampoo bar from Lush, a variation of the classic soap bar. It is plastic-free and designed to last longer than liquid shampoos in bottles in order to reduce waste. It is a made from mostly natural ingredients such as Sicilian citrus oil, olive oil and rosemary. There’s part of a real dried lemon embedded in the centre of the round shape. The object has an uneven surface and texture. It isn’t a perfectly smoothed round shape as it has many parts sticking out around the edges. The colour is a nice bright yellow with flecks of white throughout showcasing the natural elements of this object. The lemon in the middle made the 3D process easier as it worked as an indicator as to whether the object was upside down or not. This object was created as part of a digital collection titled Virtual Time Capsule. It belongs to the sub-theme of environmentalism as it represents the current trend of rejecting modern technologies such as mass produced plastic bottles.
