A soup that that is both a staple in Haitian tradition and culture. This food dish represents the liberation and freedom of a nation from slavery, this dish is enjoyed by Haitians far and wide specifically on January 1st of every year to celebrate a new year of indepence and good luck or fortune! I try and eat it every year with my family and if i dont eat it on the1st of January, you better believe I’m going to have it on the 2nd!
