The Lightship Guillemot was an Irish Lights vessle sunk off the South Arklow Bank on March 28 1917. It was outside the rule of engagment for lightships to be attached during WWI but the Captain of Uboat-65 attacked the Guillemor in retaliation for what they considered warning of other vesseles by the Lightship of the presence of the U-Boat.
