Sections 12 & 13 of 20: The South Structure, East & West of the Western High Gate of Medinet Habu.
The South Structure is a mud-brick building that appears to form the southern limit of the gate complex. Perhaps the best preserved of the Western High Gate’s mud-brick architecture, the walls, doorways and floors of many of its rooms are still visible. We hope a thorough archaeological investigation of this building will assist our understanding of its original function(s).
