A presumed gaming piece of soap stone with a runic inscription, found in medieval context (12th century) under the road in Trondheim, Norway. Runologist Karen Langsholt Holmqvist has interpreted the inscription as a hitherto unknown name, Sigsífr. A direct translation of the name could be “Warriorbrother”, which could alternatively be seen as a name of the gaming piece itself.
