Spine After Wrong Level Surgery

This model represents a spine following a failed surgery in which the surgeon mistakenly fused L1-L3 instead of the intended L2-L4. This error led to the flattening of the natural lordotic curve, worsening of retrolisthesis at L3-L4, and unnecessary damage to L1.

After the procedure, the surgeon closed their practice and abandoned care, leaving the complications unaddressed. The surgical error and its resulting issues were later corrected by the Baylor Scott & White Spine and Scoliosis Center.
