The spinothalamic pathway carries information related to pain and thermal sensations as well as non-discriminative touch (crude touch) and pressure.

This model was created by Melissa Hendry in 2023 as part of her studies at the University of Edinbugh. The research project was supervised by Dr Stephen J Maclean, Lecturer in Anatomy, University of Edinburgh (s.j.maclean@ed.ac.uk; Staff Profile). The model was created using Blender.

This model forms part of a wider project under the Edinburgh ATLAS Facility, overseen by Dr Jennifer Paxton (staff profile) and Victoria McCulloch (staff profile).
