The SS Lincolnshire was built in 1899 by Russell & Co. Ltd. Greenock, measuring 105.16 m in length. She was a British cargo ship owned by Helmsdale S. S. Company. On March 29th 1917, en route from New York to Le Havre, the SS Lincolnshire was sunk by German submarine U-57 8 miles south-west by south from Hook Head. She now sits 58 m below the surface.
