SS Richard de Larringa

The SS Richard De Larringa was a British cargo vessel, built by Russell & Co., Port Glasgow in 1916. The vessel measured 134m long 17.1m across and 7.9m high. On 8th October 1917 the ship was transiting without cargo from Manchester to Galveston when it was torpedoed by the German submarine U-57. 35 lives were lost. The ship now lies in 75m water depth, aproximately 32 km SSW of Mine Head, Co. Waterford.
