An optimized scan of an outdoor statue. This was a very interesting subject for photogrammetry, as I ended up coming up with tools and workflows for refining the mesh as well as UVing.
“Human Nature - Paul Slipper
Human Nature is inspired by the developmental phases of a fern. These ferns emerge from the ground as fiddleheads and slowly unfurl as they grow into mature plants revealing human figures in the process. The figures emerging from the fiddleheads represent the very young, and the fully unfurled figures represent adults. Together, the various phases reflect the community as a whole.
The organic theme also speaks to how, as a community grows and rises, the people of the community become ever more rooted. It is these root systems that provide the base for future generations to live and prosoper.”
