This is a statue of Mercury, formerly a garden sculpture that once stood on the south pediment of Duff House, Banffshire.

This is one of six classical gods that also included Minerva, Mars, Bacchus, Apollo and Luna, probably made by Jan Van Nost the Younger (circa 1710-1787) around 1740.
