RAFFMA, EG.01.008.2020
A statue of the astronomer Imhotep, wearing a long, high-waisted kilt, holding a folded cloth and an astronomical instrument probably used to count out the hours of the night in his right hand. On either side of his garment, carved in sunken relief, is a figure of a female relative; on his left is his mother, Asetweret, and on his right is his daughter, also named Asetweret. Each raises a hand and is identified by a vertical column of hieroglyphs. Imhotep is similarly identified by a single, vertical column of text on the front and another on the back pillar. The inscriptions record his priestly titles in the service of the gods Amen and Thoth together with the name of his father, Horus, and his mother Asetweret.
