Steam lumber mill, Krabi, Thailand3D Model
This tall, slender freestanding brick chimney (MAHS-THA-KBI-NUK-KOS-S-005-F-0001) is associated with a former steam lumber mill. Built mainly of reddish-brown bricks, the structure tapers slightly toward the top and has arched openings at its base. Inside, a hollow square chimney shaft includes steps descending into a shallow underground area. Horizontal tension rods were installed at intervals along the height for reinforcement. Other components of the steam lumber mill are no longer extant.
