Finally, I realised that I can create practical panoramas in Sketchfab.
Steampunk scene. The challenge was to include Iron, Brass, Bronze, while not using any wood at all. Some engineering issues needed to be solved… For example the iron is coated with zinc-oxide so as not to immediately rust in all that steam… and phosphor bronze was chosen for the metal pipes as it has a high melting point and low heat dissipation, considering that steam isnt used for heating, but for power, and should be kept in the system for as long as possible. Oh and the good old incandescent lightbulbs! And more.
There is also an exterior to this scene, however due to everything being PBR, the sunlight overexposes everything. I will probably rerender a nighttime scene, then I will swing the main door open.
The quality could be better, but… this is an extremely difficult scene to raytrace, so it takes forever. The filaments in the lightbulbs are roughly life-sized (so, tiny), they are the source of all the light in the scene.
