Steampunk-style Madu and Katar

These models were designed and created as part of the 3D Art Pipeline “Bladed Weapon and Shield” assessment for the diploma course I was taking at the time.

The designs were inspired by the steampunk aesthetic and ancient Indian weapons, i.e. the madu/maduvu and the katar. The patterns on the katar in particular were inspired one the katars from the 18th century in The MET’s collection. The link can be found here
