Steyn City, along the Jukskei River, between William Nicol Drive (R511) and Cedar Road, is rising out of the rubble of an unused quarry and 2 000 acres of previously undeveloped land. On completion it will comprise residential, commercial, retail and leisure components, an 18-hole Nicklaus Design championship golf course, all set within 1 000 acres of woodland. The sheer scope of planting 1 000 acres of wooded parkland has never before been seen in South Africa, making Steyn City’s woodland the largest in Johannesburg.
