阿弥陀三尊磨崖仏(福島県白河市)

To place Amida-Nyorai(Amitabha) in the center for the religion, and place Kannon-Bosatsu(Avalokitesvara) and Seishi-Bosatsu(Mahasthamaprapta) on both sides of Amida-Nyorai, the form is called Amaida-Sanzon(Amitabha Triad). Amida-Nyorai a Buddha leading the dead to paradise. Kannon-Bosatsu represents “mercy” of Buddha, and Seishi-Bosatsu represents “wisdom” of Boddha.
