More model information

The Handanija Mosque in Prusac (1617), built in classical style of Ottoman architecture, represents an important example of Bosno-Herzegovinian religious heritage due to the numerous original parts from the 17th century that were found in its interior and due to its long cultural and religious history. This is one of remaining original stone fragments found during in situ documentation after the mosque destruction. The mosque was heavilly damaged in shelling during the war (1992-1995). Restoration started in the summer of 2003 and all works were completed in the autumn of 2005. Majority of the fragments were reused and built in original position The work was made possible by cooperation between Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB), the Architectural Faculty at the University of Sarajevo and the Islamic Community in Donji Vakuf.

Created in RealityCapture. Photographs made by Canon 700d using Foldio360.
