My submission for Artstations’ Dragon’s Rise game character art section. Though my upload is not nearly to the same level of the other artists I am thankful still for the opportunity and the learning experience. The model work was done in a combination of Maya and Blender, and the material work was largely through Substance. For the sake of the contest, I also built the model with a basic rig with enough functionality to move his many legs to reflect the original concept.
As much as I’d like to have posted the model with either the rig present or the model in the pose, Sketfab on my end seemed to run into the issue of moving or drastically altering elements of the model if I tried uploading it with animation data.
