Summerdown Camp Ring, Compton Drive, Eastbourne

This ring was found during excavation of land once occupied by Summerdown Camp, a convalescent camp for wounded soldiers in the First World War. It’s likely that it was made by one of the soldiers in the tin workshop as part of their treatment.
