Sunken Plane

My friend Charlie and I scanned a sunken plane at a rock quarry as part of my dissertation field research for my DPhil at the University of Oxford. The plane is in a number of pieces, both wings removed; the port wing is visible in the scan. The landing gear was down, but didn’t provide sufficient relief for me to record the underside of the aircraft. In all, this was a fun scan and the data was collected in about 90 minutes of dive time.
