The Surry Schoolhouse was built in 1872, in the village of Surry, Maine. From 1872-1952, it served as a school. From 1953-1987 it housed the Surry Fire Department. From 1987-2014 it was the Women’s Auxiliary. In 2018, plans for demolition were under consideration, but a local campaign and private donations allowed the building to be rehabilitated.
