In 1955, Albert Ibaugh discovered burials while digging for a new cellar to his home.
Joint excavations were conducted by Franklin and Marshall College & Pennsylvania State Museum in 1955 and 1957. Thereafter it was housed at the William Penn Memorial Museum until purchased by Gerald B. Fenstermaker (Kent, Barry. 2001. Susquehanna’s Indians, p. 334).
