More model information

Eidelwiss Village is located in Golden, British Columbia and was once home to Swiss Mountain Guides who built these homes between 1910 and 1912. The guides were hired by the town of Golden and the Canadian Pacific Railway to take wealthy tourists into mountainous areas such as Rogers Pass, Banff and Lake Louise. Eidelweiss Village is an important part of mountain culture in the Rocky Mountains and its history make it a heritage site of some significance. Our digital heritage research group is partnering with the Swiss Edelweiss Village Foundation to find ways to digitally and physically preserve the site for future generations. This point cloud is one of the 6 chalets at Eidelwiess Village and was home to Swiss Mountain Guide Walter Feuz and his family. The point cloud has been subsampled to decrease loading time. However, it is still quite large so may take a few extra seconds to load.
